In order to support this growth, LinkExperts seeks an energetic, entrepreneurial and effective SEO Strategist.
Position Overview
Reporting to the VP of Revenue, the SEO Strategist will be primarily responsible for partnering with the sales team in order to educate prospects and customers on the specific strategic and technical aspects of search engine optimization and the LinkExperts product offering. This person will work at the NYC headquarters and will play a key role in the sales and client services process to ensure customers and prospects have a detailed understanding of the technical and performance aspects of the product. He/She will perform product demonstrations at trade shows, in person and via webex, and will play a critical role in launching new clients and responding to “trouble calls” and “frequently asked questions.” He/She will also communicate with prospects, customers and the market in general, as to the trends in the SEO market. The SEO Strategist must be technically savvy with respect to search engine performance and an excellent communicator with a track record of effective interaction with prospects and clients. He/She must be solutions oriented and comfortable overcoming objections during the sales process.
Specific Responsibilities
The SEO Strategist will:
• Partner with the sales team to help close new business by educating prospects on the nuances of search engine performance and the technical features and benefits of the product
• Support the client services team when launching new clients or responding to issues related to technical support
• Refine the content and process for product demonstrations and deliver effective product demos in person and via webex
• Be an expert with respect to the trends in the SEO space and the activity of the major search engines.
• Be an expert in the technical aspects of the product and will be a key conduit to provide helpful feedback to the product development team for future product revisions
Required Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
• 5+ years in a sales, marketing or sales support role with a successful search engine or SEO firm.
• Substantial knowledge of the technology associated with the Search industry
• A track record of effective interaction with clients and prospects
• Demonstrated the ability to adapt and partner with multiple members of a sales team
• Excellent oral and written presentation skills, be persuasive and able to overcome objections
