Job Description

You are an excellent “business” web designer looking for a bright future. We are a dynamic, growing company where you can produce quality work, have fun, and see excellent financial rewards. This rapidly growing, fast-paced Internet Marketing firm is looking for a hard charging web designer who is focused on first class designs that make money for our clients. You are a self starter capable of working with minimum supervision and comfortable taking the lead on design interface with clients. We are a “team” and will expect you to have excellent teamwork skills in addition to a willingness to learn the company system for B2B web design and marketing.

You will be expected to take designs from idea to online implementation. This includes managing the technical nuances of web site hosting, software design, and modern visitor conversion technologies used to support our marketing programs. You will be the project manager for large website development projects and expected to interface directly with clients. Your interpersonal skills must be excellent.

Graphical skills are important, but not the overriding criteria for success. Our team has access to third party designers for advanced work. You will be expected to rapidly develop website page designs, landing pages to support our paid search programs, and a multitude of custom “call to action” graphics. You will have to work closely with our in-house Internet Marketing team to rapidly implement large projects.

There will be significant opportunity for training and advancing all your skills, but very important to your development will be rapidly learning the tools of Internet Marketing. This advanced, on-the-job training will clearly set you apart from your competition in the future.

# Required Technical Skills: Thorough understanding of professional website development for “business” clients. Examples of your work will be expected with your resume.

# Proven skills in HTML, XML, CSS, MySQL and knowledge of ASP and PHP.

# Comfortable coding pages primarily with CSS for cross-browser compatibility, using tables only for major structural elements.

# Hands on experience with web creative software tools and experience working projects with a content management system such as DotNetNuke or Joomla and ability to learn new content management systems quickly.

# Basic graphic creation and manipulation with Photoshop or equivalent.

# Experience with JavaScript.

# Ability to manage many projects at one time.

# Expert in deploying websites and resolving hosting issues in a timely manner.

# Have a basic technical understanding of SEO principles and how they must be implemented in web design projects.
