Senior Internet Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist

Charles River Interactive is a young and fast-growing company with an impressive array of clients that range from top high tech companies to ecommerce sites to Fortune 500 corporate sites. We are a “premier” provider of Internet search marketing services and our mission is to translate our client’s business goals into search marketing strategies, while providing the highest possible level of service.

The Senior SEO Specialist will work closely with our experienced SEO team to help develop, implement and manage SEO campaigns for new and existing clients. The ideal candidate will be comfortable interacting with client contacts ranging from the marketing manager to the IT director to the webmaster. The Senior SEO Specialist’s role will involve taking “ownership” of client campaigns including client relationship, campaign planning and implementation.

Job responsibilities include functioning as a key member of the SEO team for all SEO initiatives, including:

• Conduct technical evaluations and create SEO recommendations for a variety of client sites both new and existing

• Work with clients and web development agency partners to create, implement and QA complete and ongoing SEO strategies

• Meet with clients by phone and in person on a regular basis to establish and maintain close working relationships

• Analyze and interpret campaign performance data and reports

Desired qualifications include:

• Experience in creating search engine optimization strategies for a variety of sites

• At least two years experience working as an SEO expert

• Understanding of search engine algorithms including indexing, ranking criteria and technical considerations

• Ability to evaluate a site for SEO and create detailed recommendations

• Technical web experience, such as knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS

• Knowledge of website design and development process

• Familiarity with web analytics especially as it applies to SEO reporting

• Ability to effectively communicate with clients in a highly professional manner

• Able to multi-task and prioritize - must work well under pressure

• Web copywriting/copyediting skills

• Familiarity with paid placement (AdWords, Yahoo) a plus
