Talked to Darren over on his website about a few different topics - check it out if you get a chance.
That sure is a mouthfull. I’ve been trying to learn what the acronym ASIDIC stood for for a few weeks now - while telling people - a conference involving a key group of premium content publishers. It looks like a pretty good bunch - and I’m excited to have been invited to speak on “Are There Really New Ways to Make Money From the Web?” along with Bill Burger, VP, Marketing, Copyright Clearance Center, Elisabeth Osmeloski, Managing Editor, Search Engine Watch, and Jeffrey Massa, CEO, Yellow Brix. I’ll be sure to report back, as I’m pretty certain I’ll be learning much more from these folks at the show than they’ll be learning from me. More on the ASIDIC Conference.
I thought it was worth mentioning that I’ve recently “officially” decided to make a more long-term committment to doing independent consulting work. For now, I’ll be focusing mainly on doing site audits and developing strategies for people looking to do their own SEM work, or looking to bring a team of search engine marketers in-house.
Being my blog alter-ego is a misspelling, I’ve always gotten “Did you mean stuntdouble?” when doing a query for stuntdubl. Today was the first day that I noticed there was no more “did you mean”. I’m curious if it is due to search query volume or perhaps indexed pages, or a combination ratio of the two.
Aaron at SEOBuzzbox does some pretty cool interviews with some notable folks in the SEO/SEM industry. I’m honored to now be one of them. Check out the interview if you get a chance.
Fun commentary, but technology sometimes sucks…Graywolf and I talked with Greg about click stream analysis and its’ potential impact on search engine results positions. Most people that talk about search engine rankings sometimes forget to realize that there are 100’s if not 1000’s variables to tweak in the search algorithms. Disclaimer: generally when I ramble on the radio, it is nearly all pure speculation.
I’ll be talking with Greg GoodROI Niland tomorrow on Good Karma about various topics including the pros and cons of using clickstream data in search engine algorithms, speculation on how it may be used and a slew of other totally speculative topics that I probably have minimal expertise to comment on but will anyways. If you have questions, or get a chance stop by webmasterradio and check it out.
