Eliot Spitzer’s Call Girl - Ashley Alexandra Dupré Youmans aka Kristen of the Emperor’s Club VIP Escort Service in NYC - 7 Things You Can Learn

If you're new here, you may want to learn more about me, introduce yourself or check out my best posts. Thanks for visiting!

Okay, I’ll be honest - it’s like a train wreck that you can’t look away from, and I’m curious how much traffic there is for something like this. It’s basically all over google trends for the last few days. This is about as trashy of a post as they come, but figured I’d smut it up a little bit. Yes - both the traffic whore who has some baity ideas, and I both can identify a bit with dear Kristen. I have to go with with David Letterman’s top 10 explanation - seriously, have you ever BEEN to Albany? :)

7 things you could learn:

1. People will find your social media profiles.

2. Sometimes there’s no such thing as bad publicity.

3. Once you HAVE to delete stuff it’s probably too late.

4. You should probably be aware of who your publicly elected officials are.

5. You can delete some stuff from your social profiles like Myspace, Facebook, Blogger etc. (how to become “webdead” in pictures)

6. Sex definitely helps a singing career.

7. Whores get the most traffic:)

I’m sure Ashley will make out okay after the initial embarrassment - and good for her.

People that are most happy about this:
-Barack Obama
-Republicans
-Ashley’s new agent
-Emperor’s club (advertising is a cost of doing business)
-Late night talk show hosts
-Comedians
-The media

#6 is dead on.

She sold 1 million copies of her single on iTunes since the story broke. Not sure how that pays out, but she’s definitely making something from it.

How exactly do you identify with dear Kristen? either you’re a tragically unknown singer or… well… are you really?

Um, yes, I HAVE been to Albany. I am writing from there now! I really hope whores doooo get the most traffic! I am a site droppin, rhyme droppin, beat droppin whore. Why don’t you drop in? We’re Lo-Fi Cadillac and we’ll be recording our song about this debacle this weekend. One of the lines is “The only winning move is not to play.” (We be fans of WARGAMES). Sex definitely helps a singing career…when you don’t have it, there’s too much time on your hands and you can make celebretard albums like we have. Thanks StuntDbl - you’re ‘un-same’. {oh yeah, the jokes about SEOs are damn good - most of them, the obviously recycled ones can wither, but there are some dandys in there — I have to go HypSEOtize some keywords}

It really is amazing when people get caught red handed, and how interested everyone is their behavior. If their behavior was socially unacceptable or illegal, you wouldn’t know it by the great interest people take in it. While I know people get more traffic as a result of stories like this, that doesn’t necessarily mean it is the honorable thing to capitalize on it.

[...] After seeing Google’s Director of Development Kevin Willer speak at ISU a few weeks ago with Chad, I’ve been on even more of a focus on Google that usual. One thing that’s really struck my attention this past week was Stuntdubl’s fantastic post recently on Google Hot Trends and Eliot Spitzer searches. How something this cool has existed for so long without me knowing I have no idea. More dorky / interesting to me than even the hot trends tool, is just looking at the public information they have on searches in general with Google Trends. [...]
