Rae had a great idea for a “round robin” of link development questions to a great bunch that does quite a bit of it. I’m still reading through it all, since no one got to see one another’s answer’s until it was posted.Eric Ward, of URL Wire, Rand Fishkin - The wizard of Moz, Roger Montti, the VP of Verticals at the world’s coolest directory - Best of the web, and of course Rae Hoffman of Sugarrae and SEO Class. I tried to find favorite parts, but seemed to enjoy most all of the 6600 words of it, and would be a disservice if you didn’t read the entire article anyhow.

Very excited to have Brad Geddes of Local Launch joining up with us for the SEO Class. I’ve never met anyone more versed on paid search than Brad (including folks working for the PPC providers themselve), and can’t wait to ask him some questions of my own. Really a guru in paid search, and in addition to that, all around cool guy.

I asked Calum Coburn, who is an expert in negotiation training and business leadership to do a piece for the site on helping SEO consultants to be better at sales and negotiation. After all, we are naturally GEEKS, and generally only forced into sales by default. Big thanks to Calum for taking the time to write a nice piece that should help those that want to get better clients or are considering doing SEO consulting as a full time job. Managing client expectations is such a critical component of SEO consulting, that it should be considered throughout the entire process (including sales). Here’s Calum’s take on what may help many consultants to manage expectations more effectively, and acheive higher sales with BETTER clients.

The SEO Class has been in the works for several months now, and we’re finally in launch mode. We’ll be holding all the SEO Classes in Manhattan, NY. I think this will turn into a great opportunity for people to get some time to develop new strategies for their internet marketing from myself, Greg “GoodROI” Niland, Michael “Graywolf” Gray, Rae “SugarRae” Hoffman, and Jeremy “Shoemoney” Schoemaker. We are launching with a FREE session for non-profits on March 23rd. We’ll also be offering another two day session (May 17th and 18th) open to anyone for $2999. It should be a really great event - Get signed up early
