Always Upgrade to Latest Wordpress

If you're new here, you may want to learn more about me, introduce yourself or check out my best posts. Thanks for visiting!

Is my advice if you’d like to keep from getting hacked. Just wanted to say a quick thanks to all the folks who took the time to let me know there was a problem (and to Mike for helping me get up and running quickly - it probably would have taken me weeks). To the folks who thought it was linkbait, I can appreciate skepticism, but you might want to tip your BS meters a bit further back towards “faith in humanity” - life is more enjoyable that way. Ironically enough, I was having lunch with Michael Gray when I got the news, so I’ll let him tell the story (or you can check out the blow-by-blow at threadwatch, so I can get back to work:)

Good to see you back. That punk sure is causing alot of trouble. I saw talk about his .wordpress.com blog (which is down now)on thread watch but has everyone see his .blogspot.com blog? If not you can check it out here
http://fuckingpirate.blogspot.com/

Is google going to ban him like wordpress did? I hope so. I am assuming that someone has already reported it but maybe I will let google know just in case.

[...] First a little background on what happened. Sometime early yesterday afternoon where I sit in Colorado I was on Todd Malicoat’s Stundubl site. One moment all was fine and the next the site wasn’t looking right. I thought it was just a missing css file, but a few refreshes later it was obvious something more was happening. Every link was redirecting to a blog on WordPress by someone claiming to be f***pirate. [...]
