Why Spam Blocking Doesn't Work

Spam (Spamdexing) really sucks, unless you're the person who won the porsche from AOL. The problem is, until the web and e-mail are based on some type of subscription model where there is some detterent from sending (or creating) it, it will continue to exist. The anonymity and low barriers of entry provide a breeding ground for morally ambiguous creative types to hawk whatever has the highest profit margins.

Spam will probably continue to exist long after the risk outweighs the return (with continued creation from those who enter the game late on the "bottom floor"). We all know that the internet was just founded to sell viagra, and since the offensive measures to sell it are much better funded than the defensive countermeasures to prevent it, the spam will continue to be beamed to your box.

So until you start paying to send e-mail, just hit the delet key a couple hundred quintillion times and be sure to mark each message as spam. Hmmm...I wonder how many variations there are of "phentermine". Those double dashed domains in the G serps HAVE to be great for corporate branding...I'm sure they are owned by Pf|zer.
There are 600,426,974,379,824,381,952 ways to spell Viagra
